Queensland Floods

Thu Jan 13, 2011, 6:19 PM by MintLilac:iconmintlilac:
Update: Free travel on all Translink services until Friday 21st of January as buses resume in areas of Brisbane. Check the Translink website for more information. Remember to avoid unnecessary travel.

We have added links to volunteering websites. Remember you need to register to volunteer officially. You can always help someone out unofficially so long as they give you permission.

If you want to donate any goods, please hold onto them as a number of volunteering staff are overwhelmed and need to use their time helping people rather than sorting donations.

From all of us at :iconbrisburnians: we hope that you're safe and well during this time. A number of areas in Queensland are now flooded, being evacuated or even cut off.

We've put together a number of links and such to find all the information you need if you're worried about friends or loved ones.

Volunteering

Remember you need to register for volunteering so people can direct you to where you are most needed and to ensure people are who they say they are.
