Our beloved DeviantART is turning 10 next month and to celebrate we are inviting you all (and your friends too) to a big birthday party in the park.

Date/Time: 7th August 11am start. You can arrive at any time and stay until any time

Location: Roma Street Parklands (Parklands map: [link])

Directions:
Follow the signs in the Roma St Station (away from the newsagency/food court area) along the Roma St Station pedestrian tunnel.
Go up the lift or escalators and exit the station via Platform 10 to your right.
Cross the street, follow the path to the right and walk towards the set of escalators that will come into sight.
Once up the escalators, you'll be on the Carriage Deck.
Turn around, pass the cafe, go down the stairs and you'll reach Celebration Lawn.
Follow the path around the lawn until you reach a small bridge by the waterfall.
Cross the bridge and you'll find Frangipani Court, where we'll be.

Food/Drinks: Bring a plate or packet of food to share with everyone.

We don't expect you to spend lots of money and time.
Here are some ideas:
Savoury food - sandwiches, a packet of shapes, pretzels, bread rolls
Fresh food - fruit and salads
Sweet food - biscuits, muffins, cakes, pocky, donuts, lollies, chocolate
Drinks - water, soft drink, juice, ice
Whatever takes your fancy, as long as its enough to share around.

If enough people say they aren't going to bring any food, we'll have to make it a BYO food event, the more of you that share the better the party!

Arty stuff - pencils, paper, sketchpads, cameras, etc

Prizes to donate if you wish
Picnic blankets
Hat and sunscreen

What to Wear: Try to wear things like sneakers and clothing you can move about easily in.
Bring hat and sunscreen too.

ALSO!! Remember this is a birthday party so birthday clothing is highly recommended. We encourage you to find something outragious or random or just plain fun to wear so long as it's appropriate for a public place.

I, ~LadyCath, will meet and wait for others just outside the newsagency at the food court end of Roma Street Station at around 10:30am and will leave there around 10:45am. Anyone whom isn't sure how to get around the Parklands can meet me there and we will walk in together.

Games:
Games will be played. Some of which will have awesome prizes!!
I'll bring my Uno cards for anyone whom likes to play. I am trying to organise a pin the ear on the fella or pin the tail on the Llama. We'll have fun active games to play on the lawn like three legged races, silly sprints, and maybe even a photo scavenger hunt if there are enough people with cameras.
There'll also be the usual chatting, lazing around, eating, sharing artwork and much much more

Note: We are meeting in a public place AND on private property all the same so be aware of yourself and other people around you/us that aren't a part of the group. Use common sense in regards to things you say, how you behave, take care of your rubbish/belongings and everything will be awesome
